An Expression of Interest records qualifications, work history, English, skills assessment and points claims for the 189, 190 or 491 pathways. Documents are generally not uploaded when the EOI is created, but evidence is required if an invitation leads to a visa application. An EOI is not a visa application and creates no bridging visa.

After invitation
The invitation is based on the information in SkillSelect. You cannot repair an overstated invitation basis by changing the EOI after the event. Home Affairs says an applicant has 60 days to accept and lodge; if the invitation is not used, there is no guarantee of another.
Scores and invitation data
A score of 65 is the minimum threshold for points-tested subclasses, not an invitation guarantee. Published minimum scores are historical results for the named occupation and round.
